‘It Started with a Sketch’

During February half-term we were involved in a community art project at Gather, in the Dolphin shopping centre, Poole. BAS joined forces with the Poole and East Dorset Art Society to put on a week of art activities, craft sessions, demonstrations and an exhibition of work.

During the course of the week we had fun with - urban sketching, portraits, badges, painting a Van Gogh, making a folding sketchbook, Chinese brush painting and lots more besides.

Although this kind of exhibition was new to us, we all dived in and as you can see had a wonderful time providing a suitable distraction from the shops.
